Being an artist is my second career. I studied marketing and modern languages and spent fifteen years working in financial services in the UK and in Paris, France. In 2010, having had a family, I embarked on the start of a journey which has led me to where I am now.
I am inspired by the colours and tones of the flowers in my garden, and a love of, and interest in interior design, immersing myself in creative experiences outside of the studio in order to glean ideas and inspiration for my painting. I am a keen gardener and visits to the Chelsea Flower Show and London Design Week have been recent influences. I also enjoy collaborating with local interior designers and gardeners.
The colour palette I use changes in unison with new colour trends, with pinks, greens and vibrant blues featuring in my current works. As well as producing my own pieces, I work collaboratively with clients, creating paintings that fit in with and enhance their own living spaces.
I exhibit my work in galleries throughout Scotland and my paintings can currently be found in collections in the UK, France, USA, South Africa and the Far East.
